INVITATIONS

Picture
My inspiration is below. Here is what I ended up doing:
-Champagne Metallic Pocketfolds from Cards and Pockets (on sale for 0.78/ea)
-I cut 18 in strands of navy satin ribbon from ribbonretreat dot com and strung 5/8 square mini rhinestone buckles from rhinestone jewelry dot com.
-I used permanent glue runners (from Staples, I love these things) and glued the ribbon all the way around the pocketfold, into the part where the invitation/invitation mat goes. I used a pencil to draw guide lines so they are perfectly in the center.

I don't know why, I just wasn't crazy about doing a belly band. That is why I decided to glue the ribbon/buckle to the pocketfold itself.

ALSO, my mom helped me so much with the construction of these. Thanks, momma!

-I used the glue runner to glue the Dark Blue Metallic cardstock to the invitation, as the invitation mat.
-All invitation templates were used with MS Word, making borders and text boxes.
-I bought Sand text paper for the invitation. I downloaded my own flourish and for the most part, went off of Erin's template.
-I bought Sand cardstock #80 for the inserts. For the most part, I went off of Erin's templates, but changed the sizes of the inserts, order, and used a directions card instead of a map card. I also made my own RSVP postcards! Make sure you check usps.com for postcard standards before you DIY.
-My insert sizes:
Accommodations 3.5x6.9 (it had to be a smidge shorter than 7 inches so it would fit in the pocketfold properly)
Directions 3.5x6
RSVP 3.5x5
Reception 3.5x4

I still need to glue on little rhinestone dots to the center of the flourish on the invite.

INSPIRATION from Erin

THANKS SO MUCH to Chicago knottie Erin, EL13109 for her invite and program templates... if mine turn out half as great as hers did, I will be satisfied! My colors are navy and white as well, so I am going to be a total copy cat!
